Sun Lakes Country Club #1 is the First Sun Lakes Community. It was developed in 1972 and is a non-gated community comprised of 2,139 homes with approximately 60% manufactured homes and 40% Frame Constructed Homes. Its Homeowners Association is Sun Lakes Country Club #1 (HOA #1).

Only Sun Lakes residents can obtain a membership and play golf at the Sun Lakes Country Club golf courses. The pro shop gives golfers a place to pick up a snack to keep them going on the course, upgrade equipment, or find a new golf hat.

The Sunset Grill is open daily for breakfast and lunch, and serves dinner Thursdays and Fridays. It offers seasonal specials, a happy hour, and restaurant catering for events.

The clubhouse also includes a fitness center, swimming pool, ballroom, and multiple hobby rooms. The community includes parks and natural spaces with walking paths that take you on a scenic trip through beautiful neighborhoods and around sparkling lakes. At the fitness center, find aerobics, Zumba, yoga, and water fitness classes.
